Fullness is a category of pleasure that covers two related but distinct experiences: deep penetration, reaching the back of the vaginal canal, and internal pressure from width or stretch. Both require significant arousal before they are accessible, and both are frequently attempted too early, which produces discomfort and the conclusion that they are not for that person. They often are. The timing was simply wrong.
Depth fullness comes from reaching the deepest part of the vagina, the area around the cervix. At the back of the vaginal canal there are pockets of tissue called the fornices, which only open fully during high arousal. When stimulated gently at the right moment, these areas can produce a deep, whole-body sensation that is distinct from anything at shallower depths. Research found that 42% of women have discovered this kind of pleasure, and of those, 15% have experienced what are sometimes called cervical or deep-end orgasms.
Width fullness comes from a different sensation entirely: the feeling of being stretched, of something pressing outward against the vaginal walls. This is described variously as being held from the inside, a deep satisfying pressure, or the thrill of approaching a limit. 84% of women find some form of internal wall pressure pleasurable when the body is ready for it.
Both kinds of fullness are highly arousal-dependent. The cervix and deep vaginal tissue can be genuinely painful to touch before adequate arousal. A single poorly timed deep thrust can create lasting negative associations with an area that would have been pleasurable later. The same body, the same act, at different points in arousal, produces completely different results.
The rule that works: explore these areas after, not before or during, significant arousal. A useful marker is after a clitoral orgasm or after extended warm-up when the whole area feels noticeably different from its resting state.
Getting a toy or penis to the deep end is easier in some positions than others. Lying on the back with knees drawn toward the chest shortens the internal distance and brings the deep end closer. The receiving partner shifting their hips while staying close to the deep end, rather than thrusting in and out, allows the tissue there to be explored without being struck.
The cervix itself is shaped like the end of a nose, and its sides and the tissue around it tend to be more pleasurable to press than the tip directly. Gentle circling around rather than pressing straight in usually produces better results.
Width exploration should always begin smaller than you think necessary and build gradually. Adding pressure one unit at a time, with long pauses between, gives the tissue time to adjust and the person time to assess whether the sensation is pleasurable or not. The pleasure of fullness builds incrementally. It is not immediate.
Pressing outward against the walls with fingers, rather than thrusting in and out, produces the pressure sensation more directly. A swirling motion that pushes against all four walls sequentially creates a sensation many find deeply satisfying.
The addition of external clitoral stimulation during fullness exploration transforms the experience for most people. The internal pressure creates tension through the surrounding tissue, and that tension makes clitoral touch feel dramatically different from how it feels without penetration. The two together produce a feedback loop where each enhances the other, and many people find this combination produces orgasms that are qualitatively different from either source alone.
